I have an Audio Timer, by Sansui, hooked up to my TEAC or AKAI and leave my FM Tuner on, and it works like a charm. But its also available to record from the Website XPN.org I think you's really like it. And having it on Analog Reels, from a great Tuner has been Great. I love this music, and its a great Station, this music has succeeded for 30 plus years, so there is an audience for it. And with the Auto-Reverse Function of the TEAC and AKAI Decks, they hit sensing foile and reverse, to record the entire program. But anyway, at 1 AM on Saturday Night-Sunday Mornings, for the Past 30 plus years, they Play, Commercial Free what is called " Stars End".and it runs from 1 AM till 6 AM Sunday mornings, at which point it fades into "Sleepy Hollow" another Great Music to wake up to.īut the "Stars End" is hours of music, of Tangerine Dream, and Groups just like them, that play the Space Type Music.and I would set the Timer Function on my TEAC X2000R, or AKAI GX-747 DBX.so that they would record it direct from jy Tuner, even if Im asleep. The Station is WXPN FM 88.5 in Philadelphia.they also have towers in Maryland, and near Pittsburgh I think. Some other stations I have set up are Howlin' Wolf, Thelonious Monk, Steely Dan, Lyle Lovett, and several others. I'd never heard of Porcupine Tree until I set up a King Crimson station. ![]() It's a great way to discover new artists. I agree with you, it's nice to have your own personalized stations. But I started using it quite a bit when I got a Blackberry a few months ago. I've had Pandora on my laptop for quite a while but rarely used it since the stereo is in the same room.
